Frequently Asked Questions

Do you buy entire collections or individual cards?

Both. I’m happy to look at anything from a single high-value card to full collections. If it’s something I’m not a good fit for, I’ll tell you upfront.

What’s the difference between a buyout and managed eBay sales?

Buyout:
I make you an offer for your cards or collection and pay you directly. It’s fast, simple, and there’s no waiting.

Managed eBay Sales:
I handle the entire selling process — photography, listings, buyer communication, shipping, and issues — and we split the proceeds once items sell.

If you’re unsure which option makes more sense, you can submit and we’ll talk it through.

How do you determine value?

I look at recent real sales data, condition, demand, and how quickly items are likely to sell. I’m always happy to explain my thinking.

What commission do you take for managed eBay sales?

For managed sales, I take a percentage of the net proceeds after marketplace fees. This covers my time, expertise, materials, and risk.

Exact details are discussed before anything is listed — no surprises.

What types of items are you not interested in?

I’m generally not a good fit for very low-value bulk, heavily damaged cards, or items with little resale demand.

If you’re unsure, submitting is still fine — I’ll give you an honest answer.

How long does the process take?

Buyouts: Often same day or within a couple of days.
Managed sales: Timing varies by item — I’ll set expectations upfront.

Am I required to move forward after submitting?

No. Submitting is just the first step. You’re never obligated to accept an offer or proceed.

Are you local? How does pickup or shipping work?

I’m local to the Capital Region. We can arrange local meetups, drop-offs, or secure shipping as needed.

Why work with ArcaneBinder instead of selling myself?

Selling cards well takes time and experience. I handle pricing, listings, messages, packing, shipping, and issues — so you don’t have to.
